A few words from the 2011 Competition Winner

"
The Michael Hill Competition is a unique event, because it gives everyone of the chosen participants a great confidence by providing them with a great package: travel expenses, fantastic host families, great official pianists and orchestra. (It's a wonderful idea to be able to discover both islands of New Zealand.) We have enjoyed a responsive public and been supported very professionally by the media! Well done!

International Violin Competition
Welcome to the Michael Hill International Violin Competition. I wish you every success in your quest and I envy your opportunity. I have always had a love for the violin and my dream as a youth was to become a concert violinist. My life has taken a different direction, but now I am eager to foster young violinists' talents by sponsoring an International Violin Competition. This tranquil alpine retreat is a wonderful place to play music. Good luck and may all your dreams become reality.
