 Daniella Saturday 2 June 2007 Round I began today: all 18 competitors performed Bach and Mozart. It was great to finally hear them all perform - there is certainly some fabulous talent here. It did make a very long day for the Judges, film crew, and journalists covering the competition. 9:30am - 10:15pm. As sublime as the Bach Ciaccona is, no doubt the judges are hoping they won't hear it again in the near future. Sarah and Bernadette have extraordinary energy - it was a very taxing day for the pianists in particular. The judges were treated to some cozy winter scarves and hats from Untouched World, and slippers from White Interiors.  Judges in gifts |
