Naked Violin concerts & No Strings Attached
Presented by Tasmin Little

The Naked Violin

Jamie Oliver revolutionised home cooking with his Naked Chef project debunking the myth that excellent cooking was for posh folks and that one needed a lot of expensive cookware and a daunting number of ingredients to put a pleasing meal on the table. Tasmin does for classical violin music what Jamie Oliver has done for cooking. She demystifies classical music through unadorned violin performance and encourages an honest dialogue with audience members about their own reactions to music.

No Strings Attached

Intended as the first entry-point for many listeners, No Strings Attached literally brings to music into unconventional environments where it could be the first time people have seen a violinist with no strings – no ticket cost, no expectations, no high-brow attitudes – attached.

Look out for Tasmin in the least-likely locations across New Zealand in May and June 2011.

Presented in partnership with Chamber Music New Zealand, Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra and the British Council.
