It is a privilege to present the Winner of the 2009 Michael Hill International Violin Competition Josef Špaček with Michael Houstoun. Audiences in 16 centres, both large and small, throughout the country have the opportunity to hear this prize-winning performer in recital, and in Auckland, in concert with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra.
We are delighted to continue the association with this prestigious Competition by offering a Winner’s Recital Tour as part of the prize package. This extensive tour spans our main and regional concert centres and gives New Zealanders a taste of this talented young artist as he launches his career on the world stage.
